For families
When someone you love needs support, you need confidence too.
Finding care for a loved one can be a significant decision. We want families to have clear information and a better understanding of how support can work.
Will they be safe?
Safety must be at the heart of care and appropriate safeguards should underpin support.
Will they be treated with dignity?
People should never feel like a task or a number.
Will someone listen?
The person's preferences and choices matter.
Will communication be clear?
Families need appropriate communication and reassurance.
Will they remain independent?
Needing support doesn't mean losing every element of independence.
Working together
Support for the individual. Partnership with the people around them.
We aim to build appropriate working relationships with families and carers while keeping the person receiving care at the centre of decision-making.
Where the person wants family involvement, or where appropriate, we will work collaboratively with those around them.
